The Destroyed Denim series is a collaborative project between Lapstone & Hammer, a lifestyle brand that specializes in premium footwear, apparel, and accessories, and Mitchell & Ness, a globally recognized brand that specializes in authentic sports memorabilia. The goal of the project was to create a unique product that embodies the core values and identity of both companies.
To achieve this goal, we approached the project with the same approach we take with all their projects, which is to make something true and unique to their brand. After a few days of brainstorming, the team came up with the idea of creating Denim wrapped NBA hats. Denim is a staple of Lapstone & Hammer, while Mitchell & Ness is known for its sports memorabilia. The concept was to blend the two core elements of both entities to create a unique product.
To take it a step further, we hand-distressed all 1000 hats, making each one unique from one another. This attention to detail adds to the authenticity and exclusivity of the product, ensuring that customers receive a one-of-a-kind item.
The collaboration showcases the potential of two brands coming together to create something new and exciting while maintaining the core values of both entities. It's a true representation of the power of collaboration in the world of fashion and sports.
